Last updated: January 7, 2026
Data we collect
- Account basics: if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address (we don't store passwords) and preferences to keep your profile synced. You can also use Soft Pillow without an account.
- Sleep and dream entries: sleep sessions, interruptions, and dream notes you choose to log. We store them so you can revisit your history.
- Usage signals: diagnostics like device type, app version, and feature usage to keep Soft Pillow reliable.
How we use it
- Surface sleep timelines, patterns, and dream journal entries inside the app.
- Improve tracking quality and fix bugs in the mobile app and web experience.
- Respond to support requests and keep accounts secure.
Sharing
- We never sell your data and we never share it with advertisers.
- Vetted service providers (e.g., hosting) only use data to run Soft Pillow and must protect it.
- We may share data if required by law or to prevent abuse of the platform.
Storage & retention
- Sleep logs and dream entries are stored securely and tied to your profile so you can revisit past nights.
- We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above or to comply with legal obligations.
- When you delete your account in the app, we delete your sleep logs, dream journal, sessions, and account data from our systems.
Mobile app specifics
- Sleep tracking inputs: you can log sleep sessions manually and, if enabled, connect supported sources you choose to share.
- Notifications: optional reminders can be enabled to help you log sleep and dreams.
- Sign-in options: you can sign in with Google or Apple (no password stored), or use Soft Pillow without an account.
- Diagnostics: device type, OS version, and app version may be collected to troubleshoot crashes and performance issues.
Your choices
- Delete your account any time in the app from Settings; this removes your sleep logs, dream journal, sessions, and account data from our systems.
