  • Your scans are stored so we can extract ingredients, keep history, and power features.
  • We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
  • You can delete your account in-app; App Store billing must be managed or canceled in your store account.
  • Results can be imperfect; don’t rely on them as medical or dietary advice.
  • Elppa is a helper, not a replacement for professional guidance.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Elppa (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • Service: the Elppa web and mobile applications and related features.
  • Content: images you upload, the results we generate, and any text, graphics, or information provided through the Service.
  • Third Parties: any individuals or organizations other than you and Elppa.

3. License & Permitted Use

We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, redistribute, sell, or sublicense the Service, or use it to build a competing product.

4. Your Content & Privacy

  • You retain ownership of the images and data you provide. You give us permission to process and store that content to operate and improve the Service.
  • We store your scans so we can extract ingredients, keep your history, and power features tied to your account.
  • We use Google sign-in today, so we do not store your password. Keep your sign-in method secure.

5. Disclaimers & Warranties

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind—express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate.

6. No Medical or Nutritional Advice

Elppa helps you identify ingredients. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elppa and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits) arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of (a) USD 50 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination & Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time in the app; this removes your scans, watchlist, sessions, and account data from our systems. We may also suspend or terminate your access for misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms. Store-managed subscriptions (e.g., App Store) must be canceled in your store account and are not canceled by deleting your Elppa account.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and may notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
